Case Study: Time Magazine

Some 10 years ago, Time Inc. decided to open editorial offices in London and placed the pre-press contract with F E Burman. The magazine was produced successfully for several years from our premises, including transmissions using the Time global network. Subsequently, the pressures from the time sensitive nature of the publication and the requirement for global information sharing began to demand production changes. F E Burman met these demands by designing, installing and staffing a complete in-house department in the London headquarters of Time inc.

This department, after some 5 years, developed to a stage whereby Time magazine staff had acquired the necessary skills to produce the magazine pages. We now provide Time magazine with support and backup for both equipment and staff, consultation in the purchase of equipment, calibration of their colour equipment and training courses.
