PDF: Portable Document Format

F E Burman has embraced PDF technology from the beginning and is involved in many PDF related initiatives including being one of the most active participants in the PPA’s pass4press committee. F E Burman is also involved in the Ghent PDF workgroup. This is a group of industry bodies and influential software suppliers from around the world that generates global specifications for different vertical markets. Other PDF related groups with which F E Burman is associated includes the British Standards Institute which is responsible for the development of the British Standards and the addoption of ISO standards known as PDF/X withing the UK.
