Auditor is a comprehensive pre-press checking system for print production. It has been developed to aid content creators take more of their reprographic services in-house. The system is a complete framework application which can be tailored and branded as necessary.
Editorial and production staff can submit print ready documents directly into Auditor using their web browser or an easy to use desktop applet. Auditor verifies all the files on arrival. The system looks after all the naming of the files so problems related to the naming of pages are eliminated. All the files can then be sent together to the print site via ftp or other means. Behind the scenes there is a sophisticated tracking engine which allows users to see an entire log of events. It is a tool which reduces work hours and simplifies tasks by centralising crucial information.
The system is based on open architecture and is fully capable of integration with any business system, because it uses open interfaces and all flavours of XML, including JDF. This makes it a breeze to integrate with publishers' existing ad sales, production, and business systems.
